11. I can easily be a friend and become close, but it's hard already when they want something personal from me. I simply hate people who don't know their boundaries!

Sutherland employee beheads his girlfriend

I’m back to work again, after two days off and a week full of stress. But without even knowing, an inhumane murder just happened last Friday night before I took my off and surprisingly, the victim and the suspect are on the same company. Last Monday while on break, a sudden news came up that one of our co- employee was murdered, “beheaded” at Miyabe Court motel inside room 518. At first, I wasn’t even bothered coz I thought I didn’t know the victim but as the news was spreading, I just found out that we took high school on the same school and on the same batch in Holy Angel University. After I saw her picture, I was so shocked and I felt that my heart almost came out of my chest. Katrina Gantan, a pretty young girl, 22 years of age CICT student from HAU, so unfortunate that his boyfriend will just take his life in an animalistic way. Imagine, reports said that there were 13 stab wounds including the private parts of her body. And the cut from her neck was very clean, as if the suspect was already prepared and he planned the incident that just happened. The suspect was identified; “Adonis Reyes” 30 years of age and is surprisingly “married” to another woman who is employed on the same company. Rumors said that Gantan was breaking up with him and maybe out of anger; Reyes planned to kill her inside the motel room that Friday night. Reports said that the two checked in at Miyabe Court motel around 7:30 pm and Reyes left 2 hours later at 9:30 pm, leaving with a bag with a solid object inside (might be Gantan’s head). His excuse was Gantan was taking a bath and he will just buy something from the grocery. After 24 hours of their stay lapsed, (Saturday morning) one of the motel’s bellboy thought Reyes was still inside but as he entered the room, it was just the television and everything is just in order except for the bathroom which was left open and from there, he saw the victim’s headless body (Gantan) lying on the pool of her own blood. They said that Reyes even went to work that Friday night after he murdered his own girlfriend and he even took calls while his headless victim was lying dead on that motel room, he still had the guts to enter company premises and other employees have no idea the killer was inside work areas.

There are still no reports if where the victim’s head is police are still searching for more information if where might be the head is. Luckily, Adonis Reyes was caught last Tuesday, spotted on a gasoline station at Dau, Mabalacat Pampanga and is currently imprisoned in jail. One proof that he was the killer is that he went to work so he will have his alibi that during the crime, he was at work he cut-off his beard so no one would recognize him that much and. But bellboy from the motel and the tricycle driver identified his face. Shame on his face that whenever they ask and interview him, he denies such crucial act.

 I guess its crime out of passion after all. No one who is intellectually normal would do such thing. Even if Gantan wanted to break up with him in a cause of a third party, Reyes should have realized and understood he has his own family to live a normal life. I just hope and pray that God will comfort her family especially her mother whom just traveled all the way from Taiwan. I feel so unfortunate for Kat. She should still live her life and she’s just starting to explore and live life to the fullest until that bastard took her life. I pray and shout for justice for Katrina Gantan. Reyes should be penalized the way he killed Gantan or it must be twice as much her suffering.
